Nucleoprotein (NP) is important for the replication of Ebola virus. NP encapsidates viral genomic RNA and protects it from degradation and from being detected by the host immune system. NP self-oligomerization is essential for the encapsidation of viral genome as well as for the assembly of budding virus. Here, we are simulating the structure of NP bound to inhibitory peptides that prevent NP oligomerization.
